This 2010 Feature-Length Documentary focuses on the Guardian Angels, from their beginnings in New York City through their process of growth and development to the modern organization they have become today. Special interest is being given to the topic of the group’s vision for the future, and their work with the “Junior Guardian Angels” student program. This Documentary will give a glimpse into the world of the Guardian Angels, their dedication to community change, the controversy that has surrounded the group from it’s beginning, and will leave the audience with a better grasp and understanding of the organization and it’s commitments.

The chapter leader of the Treasure Coast Florida GA Steve Horton has confessed to a lifetime battle with various mental disorders . He has been interviewed on the topic

If Mr. Horton ever made a SERIOUS CITIZEN’S ARREST that ended up with him testifying in court ANY slick defense attorney would bring his mental history up and regardless of his struggle against his illness the jury would laugh him out of the courtroom when he confessed to barking like a dog and attacking people both physically & verbally in an explosive rage for no reason at all. If a Guardian Angel Chapter Leader cannot perform a citizen’s arrest that cannot stand up in court ; what use is he to the community?! If Mr. Horton was honorable man he would resign and if Sliwa was a responsible leader he would fire him instead of the Millville NJ GA chapter leader. By the way Sliwa had a dispute last year with the Millville NJ leader and had his goons from NYC strip the members there in mid-patrol of their uniforms and were forced to walk back home half naked and totally humiliated. Whatever the chapter leader did the members there did not have to be humiliated by Sliwa in this heavy handed move. Hope you get this side of the story in your documentary!! the treasure coast and the palm beach county guardian angels spent a wonderfull day last week filming with blue silver productions. kristen baker and her camera man were great. we the guardian angels are very proud of the fact that we are makeing a major difference globaly. we are the most powerfull crime fighting unit on this earth next to law inforcement. it is an honor to do this documentary. then out comes the negative bottomfeeders who try there best to ruin a good thing. felix is that you? first off, my various mental disorders were over 40 years ago. i was just a kid, so quit trying to get people to think it was yesterday. a lot of water has went under the bridge since then. i have conquered cured and overcame and if you listen to the blogcasts you would know that, and by the way thanx for the free advertising. i will challenge any slick defence attorney any day of the week. who ever you are with your negative comments please get to know a person befor you pass judgement on them. thanx

Secondly, I'd like to say that each and every one of us has a past and if we are normal people, we did something in our past that isn't to normal, But for the most part we use and learn from those things in our past to help make us the person we are today, and that is exactly what Steve Horton has done, Steve uses his own obstacles and struggles from his past experiences to help others, Thank you Steve and the rest of The Guardisn Angels Worldwide for all you do for communities all over the country.
I try to have an open mind on the Guardian Angels. I listened to the 2 podcast interviews of Mr. Horton (The Paisan does have good show indeed!). He comes off has a a very sincere & brutally honest type of person. That being said flags are raised on the integrity of the " background checks" of the Guardian Angels organization. Yes I agree with the Paisan most people aren't squeaky clean in their personal lives. But as a law enforcement patrol admitting a potential recruit who has a felony or a history of mental disorders in his past history ( no matter how long ago) only harms the organization's reputation and possibly other members in the chapter. Realistically I cannot see any patrol group accepting a member who has a whole host of mental disorders in his past that includes fits of explosive rage and had been admitted to various mental hospitals.If Mr. Horton is allowed to patrol in PSL than other " Hortons" so to speak can be allowed in other GA chapters with their own serious past mental disorders. Yes, Anonoymous is right about defense lawyers. I was on a rape victim's jury trial. The victim's past sexual history was brought up in trial and sad to say because of serious doubts on her crediblity the defendant was declared innocent. I think in this case Mr Horton would be better off to use his talents( he is a good motivational speaker) elsewhere other than the Guardian Angels. Personal relationships with friends like the above "Sniper" shouldn't cloud this difficult decision. In order for the Guardian angels to be taken seriously anyone with such a a questionable history must be released wherever they may be in PSL or any other chapter in the country.I am looking forward to seeing Ms Baker's documentary in the future.
Just to let you know Ms. Baker I heard from a GA chapter leader Bulldog in Palm County, Florida that it is ILLEGAL carry handcuffs on your belt in that state. Now Mr Horton proudly wears them as displayed in your photo is a potential law breaker as well. As Bulldog states you can wear them as an intimidation factor ( Mr. Horton claims to never have to use them) but it does open a can of worms legally. Bulldog can be heard on his Streetpatrol podcast about this topic at the 27 minute mark.

hey everyone think about this for just a min. if these guys are standing out in front of a bunch of thugs are those thugs going to know about the backround of the "Angel" that is standing in front of them trying to difuse the situation. just my point of veiw as a citizen of the treasure coast community where the Horton chapter potrol. as far as i am concerned i am just glad they take the time to do what they do and want to let them know that i appreciate everything they do
